AKRON, OH - A judge has ruled that shaving a northeast Ohio jail inmate's head would not violate her constitutional rights. Summit County Common Pleas Judge Jane Bond ruled this week that shaving off Teannia Coday's hair would protect her health and that of others in the jail. Her long hair is infested with lice, which has not been responding to treatment. Coday, of Akron, has been in jail since March. The 18-year-old and her 16-year-old boyfriend are charged with murder in the death of Coday's 4-month-old daughter in October. |
