PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL - An inmate who walked away from a work-release center in Palm Beach County was arrested early today near Dreher Park Zoo in West Palm Beach.

Albert Butler, who was serving a burglary sentence, was captured about 4 a.m. after police saw him return to the BlueGrass mobile home park, where he worked.

Butler jumped into his car and drove off with the police in pursuit, then fled on foot near the zoo, police said. As a police helicopter hovered overhead, a neighbor spotted Butler and helped police capture him, police said.

He was reported as an escapee from the work-release center about 7 p.m. Thursday.
