Whitley new warden in Kentucky

FRANKFORT, KY – According to Kentucky Department of Corrections Commissioner John D. Rees, Kimberly Whitley will be the acting warden of the Frankfort Career Development Center. 

Whitley began her career in 1986 in the Planning and Evaluation Branch. She moved to Northpoint Training Center in 1990 as a Classification and Treatment Officer and transferred to the Division of Probation and Parole in April 1991. She returned to Northpoint as the Personnel Administrator in October 1997.  She then promoted to Deputy Warden II at Frankfort Career Development Center in December 2002, and in October 2004 was promoted to Deputy Warden III at Blackburn Correctional Complex and transferred to Northpoint Training Center in August 2005.

Whitley is a native of Danville and a graduate of Kentucky State University where she received her bachelor's degree in criminal justice and her master's in public administration.
