Corrections news site gets fresh design

QUINCY, MA – The Corrections Connection News Network today launched the new design of its news and information website, Corrections.com.  CCNN initiated the site redesign about four months ago in response to user feedback and to newer technologies available to its design and news staff.

“Our five year plan is to bring new web technologies to corrections.  To do that, we had to build a clean and strong foundation for Corrections.com,” says CCNN's President Laura Noonan.

“Our first priority was transitioning to national standards, like that of the International Advertising Bureau, in addition to global programming and national news writing guidelines. Then we took a collaborative approach toward creating a more user-friendly interface.”

Along with improving the site's navigation and offering the most current corrections news more often, Noonan says CCNN's vendor intelligence information is now searchable inside the new CorrectSource procurement directory. The directory also is easier for customer and vendors to navigate.

“Our model's core is always news,” she adds. “As we move forward, we will be spending a great deal of time rethinking how to better technically and intellectually deliver news to the corrections industry.”
