BOWLING GREEN, KY - Two area jails are considering significant improvements or expansion. Barren County Fiscal Court is looking at making more than $1 million in short-term fixes to its jail while waiting to make a decision about its long-term future. JKS Architecture told the court that no matter what decision is made about the future jail, some items about the Barren County Corrections Center must be addressed now, Jailer Leland Cox said.
