| MI tightens reins on sex offenders |

GRAND RAPIDS, MI - The state is cracking down on sex offenders who refuse to check in with authorities and who use the Internet to prey on children. During a stop here Tuesday, Gov. Jennifer Granholm announced state police have a new Web site showing names and faces of the top 10 sex offenders who have failed to register their whereabouts with the government. She also said the state soon will track registered sex offenders who victimize children through MySpace.com, a popular social networking site.
