| MI voters support jail financing |

MIDLAND, MI - The atrium of the Midland County Services building exploded with cheers and applause as the numbers came up showing 54 percent of voters had approved a jail financing proposal. "I would be out there tomorrow with a shovel and start digging," said a jubilant Sheriff Jerry Nielsen. "I want to start right now. We have needed a jail so badly.
