Police, COs seek pay boost

LOUISVILLE, KY - Officials with the Louisville police and corrections officers' unions filed grievances last week, saying Louisville owes their members a bigger raise than they received last year. The contract guarantees Metro Police and corrections officers a 2 percent raise on July 1, 2005.

But the contract said that if the city's share of occupational-license revenue collected by the Revenue Commission exceeded 4 percent for the 2004-05 fiscal year, the officers would get additional money...Read more.
