| Tax hike for jail debated |

WESTWOOD, OH - A sometimes-raucous crowd argued over the need for a new Hamilton County jail - more jail beds versus more social service and treatment programs - but Nika Galvez seemed to sum up the majority opinion best. "My life is in jeopardy. Your life is in jeopardy. Build it now," Galvez, of Cheviot, said at a public hearing Monday night. Several speakers insisted more social service and substance abuse treatment were needed before more jail space is built.
