COEUR D'ALENE, ID - Kootenai County has agreed to pay $900,000 to a former Idaho death row inmate who sued for wrongful imprisonment after his conviction was overturned. The county's insurance provider, Idaho Counties Risk Management Program, agreed to the settlement with Donald Paradis, 57, who was sentenced to death in 1980 in the strangling of Kimberly Palmer in northern Idaho.
