RALEIGH, NC - A death-row inmate wants the US Supreme Court to delay his execution until a lawsuit can be heard that challenges lethal injection. Samuel Flippen's lawyers also filed an affidavit in Forsyth County, claiming there's evidence that could prove Flippen is innocent. Samuel Flippen is scheduled to die at 2 a-m tomorrow for the 1994 beating death of his 2-year-old stepdaughter. Flippen's attorneys asked the court to stay the execution until a lawsuit could be heard that challenges lethal injection.
