| DOC requires teacher certification |

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - There is a change for teachers who have spent years helping some of Indiana's troubled teens. A state commission voted Tuesday in favor of the Department of Correction requiring a special education certification by teachers. But this decision could make it hard for teachers who have dedicated years to the DOC. Linda McHargue has been teaching music within the DOC for 17 years. She expects she'll be fired soon. "I like my job. I really don't want to be forced out. But that's what's going to happen at this point," McHargue said. Read more.
