TALLAHASSEE, FL - According to a Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) press release, officials launched a new inmate locator system (known as JANUS/JusticeXchange) back in September 2005 to determine the housing of all individuals in any participating county jail system within the state of Florida. This system has now been upgraded to include a "watch list" to track and automatically notify FDLE officials of repeat offenders.
