| New jail name met with approval |

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AR - The name chosen for Jefferson County's new jail has generally met with approval, but not the way it was picked. The jail is to be named for former Sheriff W.C. "Dub" Brassel, who served in that office for 21 years, from 1977 until his death in 1998. That decision was made by just one man, County Judge Jack Jones.
