| Fee generates $31K for county |

DICKSON COUNTY, TN - Some Dickson County officials were skeptical that an inmate reimbursement program wouldn't work. And while the county hasn't made a ton of money since implementing the program in February, $31,158 has been collected so far. The money goes into the debt service fund. County Mayor Linda Frazier said Credit Bureau of North America, the agency in charge of collecting the $35 per day fee from former inmates, has collected $47,597.18. The collection company, which is represented by Bart Howard of Dickson, receives 35 percent of the fee and the local government gets 65 percent.
