WASHINGTON COUNTY, NY - Gov. George Pataki named a Washington County resident acting commissioner of the state Department of Correctional Services. Lucien Leclaire Jr., who lives in the hamlet of Clemons in the town of Dresden, will replace retiring corrections Commissioner Glenn Goord. Leclaire is a native of Clemons as well. He began his career as a correction officer in 1977, rising through the ranks to the point he was promoted to deputy commissioner for correctional facilities in 1999.
