Roseland, N.J. - Community Education Centers (CEC) announced it was recommended for ACA accreditation at two New Jersey-baed facilities, Logan Hall, a 600 bed residential center, and Delaney Hall, a 790-bed residential facility. Both provide comprehensive reentry services to offenders referred by the New Jersey State Parole Board and Essex and Union Counties. CEC also scored a 100 percent on all mandatory and non-mandatory standards for both facilities. “I am very proud of these two accomplishments. To have these two facilities receive accreditation in the same week with perfect scores is undeniable proof of the commitment and expertise of CEC staff,” said John Clancy, CEC President and CEO. Logan Hall opened in 2001 and served more than 200 adolescent males with serious emotional and behavioral problems. These adolescents were referred through state and local child welfare agencies, mental health agencies and juvenile justice systems. The facility then transitioned populations in 2004 served “halfway back” parolees referred by the New Jersey State Parole Board. “ACA accreditation is a goal which all CEC staff are aware of and strive to obtain everyday,” said Dr. Robert Mackey Chief Operating Officer at CEC. Delaney Hall opened in March of 2000 and provides housing and comprehensive substance abuse treatment for male and female residents. It also offers a wide array of education, life skills, and employment related services designed to meet the needs of each individual offender. CEC now operates ten facilities that are ACA accredited. It also provides a full range of therapeutic residential and non-residential correctional services.
