A woman who posted greetings cards filled with heroin to prison inmates has been sentenced to jail for six years. Sheila Flynn sent cards and packages to a group of prisoners at Perth jail, ten of which were found to contain the drug. At the High Court in Glasgow, Flynn, 50, admitted supplying drugs to inmates for a three-month period. She was caught when her DNA was found on an envelope and electronic scales were discovered at her home. Detectives who raided Flynn's home found no drugs, but she admitted sending packages and cards into the jail intended for her partner Ian Lumsden, who was a prisoner in Scotland at the time. The court heard that Flynn, who had two previous convictions for heroin trafficking, supplied drugs to the Perth inmates between May and August last year. |
