Spitting possible felony

EAST MEADOW, NY - It may be the start of a trend to legislate behavior. It recently became a crime for anyone to curse at a New York City police officer.

Now, inmates in Nassau County could face a felony charge for spitting at their corrections officer. Right now, if an inmate spits at a corrections officer there's really no penalty.

We're told prisoners are using their own saliva as a form of rebellion because they are getting away with it. Read more.
