CHINO, CA - Just months after being placed there because of overcrowding, inmates will be moved out of a gymnasium at the men's prison here. Warden Mike Poulos got word from the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation headquarters to stop using 155 beds in the gym at the prison's minimum-support facility. The move was greeted warmly by officers who were concerned about mandatory overtime shifts at the California Institution for Men. "I am very happy. We did not have the staff," said Martin Aroian, head of the CIM chapter of the officers' union.
