| Officials: inmate used 'unknown object' |

MOBILE, AL - Investigators say they are still trying to determine what object a death row inmate who killed his parents two years ago used to kill himself over the weekend. State Corrections Commissioner Richard Allen said Jason Jones, who had injuries to his neck and in the bend of his right elbow, bled to death in his cell Saturday night. Prisons spokesman Brian Corbett said a safety razor was found in Jones' cell, but it was intact and it was unclear what Jones used to make the wounds. Inmates can purchase disposable single-blade razors or can be issued razors to comply with a prison policy mandating that every inmate be clean shaven, Corbett said.
