| PA jail passes inspection |

WILKES-BARRE, PA - Luzerne County Correctional Facility has scored well in a Pennsylvania Department of Corrections report for the second time in as many years. An inspection in August yielded four deficiencies and no citations. All four deficiencies are linked to the age and deteriorating condition of the Water Street jail. The report no longer assigns a number score to the facility as in years past. “Actually it's the best we can possibly do,” Warden Gene Fischi said of the state report. “The problems were with the building.
