| $10 million corrections grant halted after probe |

NASHVILLE, TN - In the aftermath of a probe into how Metro spent $2.5 million in state funds on jail consultation and design from 2001 to 2005, the State Select Oversight Committee on Corrections has put the brakes on a recently proposed state grant of $10 million to expand Metro's jail capacity further. In a Sept. 6 letter to State Department of Correction Commissioner George Little, committee co-chairman Sen. Doug Jackson and Rep.
