| Sheriff: jail needs more one-man cells |

GORDON COUNTY, GA - If lowering the bed count would make for a safer jail, that should be the priority, Sheriff Jerry Davis told the Gordon County Board of Commissioners and the architect. The Board of Commissioners, along with Davis, Deputy Sheriff Clent Harris, and Superior Court Judge David Smith, met with representatives from CRA, the architectural firm working with Turner Construction on the proposed jail and judicial complex. “One jailer can't work a single dorm.
