NASHVILLE, TN - Letters between a district attorney general and a defendant he was prosecuting for murder reveal a close, personal relationship that is the subject of a state investigation. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has launched a criminal probe into Bill Gibson, the district attorney general for an area that includes parts of Clay, Cumberland, DeKalb, Overton, Pickett, Putnam and White counties. According to letters released by the Tennessean newspaper, Gibson wrote several letters between early 2004 and July 2006 to inmate Christopher B.
