PLYMOUTH, MI - During the past four years, Kylleen Hargrave-Thomas has gotten a college degree. She's worked for a local Christian service agency, counseling homeless people and drug addicts. She was free. That all changed Friday when Hargrave-Thomas -- sentenced to life in prison 13 years ago for murdering her boyfriend in his sleep in 1991 -- stepped into the Robert Scott Correctional Facility in Plymouth to serve a life term without parole. She was following an August court order by U.S. District Judge Paul Gadola of Flint, who had revoked her bond and said she had to turn herself in to state prison officials on Friday after rejecting her request to overturn the verdict. Gadola, who has said the 54-year-old from Bloomfield Hills likely is innocent, criticized her trial lawyers last month, saying they failed to defend her during her trial in Wayne County Circuit Court.
