This month's focus in our Corrections Connection ezine is education and training. The International Association of Correctional Training Personnel is one source that provides training to corrections practitioners. IACTP is an organization of professional trainers, training administrators, and educators representing all aspects of the Corrections field. IACTP was established in 1974 and hosts the Annual Trainers' Conference. It offers a voluntary instructor certification program and provides members with The Correctional Trainer journal four times a year.
