Sheriff upgrades security

MARION COUNTY, GA - Murder suspect Daniel Melendez escaped from the Marion County Jail last Thursday. While authorities say they're not any closer to finding him, Sheriff Horace Snider says he's doing everything he can to make sure no one else escapes.

Four days after Melendez climbed under a fence and ran away from the Marion County Jail, the Sheriff says authorities still have a lot of searching to do.

In the meantime, jail officials are promising to tighten security to prevent another escape. The Sheriff says changes have already been made to increase security at the jail. Reinforced steel cables have been added to the fences just to make sure that no more inmates can climb underneath. Read more.
