GADSEN COUNTY, FL - Gadsden County students who don't plan to go to college can go straight into the workforce as corrections officers after high school graduation next year. East Gadsden High School has kicked off a corrections officer training academy that will prepare participants to become certified and eligible to work in jails and detention centers by fall 2007. The one-year academy is offered through a partnership with the Gadsden County School District, Tallahassee Community College's Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Academy. Read more.
