OKLAHOMA CITY, OK - A judge on Friday ordered Sheriff John Whetsel to limit the number of state prison inmates in the Oklahoma County Jail and begin transferring all inmates bound for prison. Oklahoma County District Judge Ray Elliott gave Whetsel 30 days to complete the transfers and mandated that inmates sentenced to prison in the future be sent to the Corrections Department within 45 days after the necessary paperwork is completed.
