MUSKEGON, MI - Muskegon County commissioners have approved a sharply reduced budget for the county's Community Corrections Department. Meeting as the Courts/Public Safety Committee, commissioners by voice vote authorized an agreement with the state Department of Corrections to fund the department's plans and services at a reduced level of $191,034 in fiscal 2007, which began Sunday.
