MONROE, MI - The Michigan Corrections Organization recently endorsed Democrat Robert Schockman's candidacy for the District 17 state Senate seat. "We believe your commitment to public safety and your willingness to protect the safety and integrity of Michigan's prison system from for-profit, privatized prisons makes you the ideal choice for Michigan's 17th Senate District," Mel Grieshaber, executive director of the group, wrote in the endorsement letter.
