Oklahoma Department of Corrections Director Justin Jones appointed George Floyd as the department's new administrator of information technology. Floyd has more than twelve years as an information systems administrator at the Oklahoma Office of State Finance, where he mainstreamed the office's computing resources into a common networked environment. He was also responsible for the state's portal, which provides e-commerce capabilities, and online services and information. Floyd designed and implemented the telecommunications infrastructure at the state's Capitol and at remote state sites as well. Prior to this, he was in the United States Air Force. Floyd holds an MBA from the University of Central Oklahoma and a BS in computer studies from the University of Maryland. |
