WASHOE COUNTY, NV - A 264-bed addition to the Washoe County Regional Jail is expected to open in January 2008 after the county commission Tuesday unanimously approved an $18.4 million contract with West Coast Contractors. The expansion, covering 50,500 square feet and including 144 cells, will be the second major addition to the jail which was built in 1988. Read more.
