YORK COUNTY, PA - Prison Warden Tom Hogan asked York County commissioners Monday for an additional $2 million for his 2007 budget for a number of reasons, including an expansion that is expected to open by the end of this year. The expansion will add 336 new beds - 288 for the work-release dormitory and 48 for the kitchen dormitory. Utility prices have increased, and the prison's medical contract jumped an additional $1 million, Hogan said. Read more.
