| Five inmates arrested for assault |

DUBLIN, CA - Five Santa Rita Jail inmates are facing assault charges for allegedly attacking another prisoner with a hand-fashioned blade. The five allegedly targeted the other inmate because he had previously been a member of a rival gang, said Alameda County Sheriff's Capt. Casey Nice. "They (the suspects) all approached him at once and attacked him," Nice said. The victim "was sliced with a jail-made weapon." Read more.
