| RX partnership saves DOC dough |

CRANSTON, RI - The state has saved about five million dollars by changing the way it buys and dispenses pharmaceutical drugs at the state prison. Since 2002, the University of Rhode Island's pharmacy college has served as the in-house pharmacy for the state prison in Cranston. Officials with the Corrections Department and URI say that partnership has saved nearly five million dollars. Read more.
