Deportation pays off

SHAWNEEE COUNTY, KS - Federal agents often bring illegal immigrants to the Shawnee County Jail before they're deported. It's something that generates big bucks for the County.

"Sometimes it's very short, it might just be an overnight stay, or it could be a week, two weeks, before they're actually moved on," said Shawnee County Department of Corrections director Elizabeth Gillespie. Read more.
