ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA - Health care workers at Alameda Countys jails on Friday said they will give strike notice on Dec. 2 unless demands for wage increases and higher staffing levels are met in a new contract. The 118 registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses, nursing assistants and technicians work at Santa Rita jail in Dublin and Glenn Dyer Jail in Oakland. Read more.
