SAN DIEGO, CA - Four inmates were hospitalized Wednesday with stab wounds and cuts sustained during a racially charged fight at a state prison just north of the U.S.-Mexico border, authorities said. None were critically injured. Tuesday's brawl involved about 50 white and black inmates at the Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility about 25 miles southeast of San Diego. Five housing units were on lockdown while officials interviewed inmates to determine the cause of the melee, said spokeswoman Kim Seibel. Read more.
