| Senator makes case for funding Supermax |

FLORENCE, CO - Senator Wayne Allard met with United States Attorney general Alberto Gonzales on Wednesday to discuss security at the federal "Supermax" prison in Florence. Allard says Gonzales has agreed to talk to the Federal Bureau of Prisons about a third fence around the prison. Allard says he asked for help from Gonzales after Allard met with local and state officials in Florence at which they expressed concerns over prison security. Read more.
