JEFFERSON CITY, MO - A state law that became active last year has allowed the Missouri Department of Corrections to help with more than 500 unsolved crimes. DNA collection of all felony, misdemeanor sex offenses and interstate cases is now required. The corrections department collects samples on all offenders under its custody and control. Read more.
