| College bids to help keep jails cleaner |

SCOTLAND - Students from a Scots college are helping the country's prisons stay clean and healthy. Bell College is helping ensure jails fight infection in the same way as hospitals. The college has been working with the Scottish Prison Service to train SPS staff on the very latest infection control techniques. Now seven staff from prisons around Scotland have completed a special course at Bell and gained a nationally-recognised qualification from the college. They have now become "Cleanliness Champions" and will adopt the skills gained for use in the prison environment. |
