ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA - Health care workers at Alameda County's jails plan to strike on Dec. 19, their union said. The 120 health care workers, who include nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and medical records clerks, have been without a contract since Aug. 10, according to a news release from their union, SEIU United Healthcare Workers-West.
