| Sex offenders sue for right not to confess |

HENNEPIN COUNTY, MN - When inmate John William Henderson refused during sex-offender treatment to admit raping a 6-year-old girl, prison officials slapped 45 days onto his time behind bars. Sex offender Frank Edward Johnson earned the same penalty when he, too, refused to own up to his crime as part of treatment. The two inmates went to court, arguing that being required to confess in therapy while they are appealing their convictions infringes on their right not to incriminate themselves. Read more.
