COLUMBUS, OH - Inmates at the Franklin County jail in the Columbus area are losing their doughnut privileges. The sweets are being dropped as officials become more health-conscious. County Commissioner Mary Jo Kilroy put a $55,000 annual contract for doughnuts on hold last month over questions about their nutritional value and trans-fat content. Read more.
