State stops inmates from working

OWENSBORO, KY - State inmates have been temporarily barred from performing community service at three western Kentucky organizations to review whether they work in proximity to children, officials said.

The inmates, who live at the Dismas Charities halfway house in Owensboro, will stop working at the Owensboro Area Shelter and Information Services spouse abuse shelter, Owensboro Area Museum of Science & History and the Daniel Pitino Shelter. Read more.
