SPOKANE, WA - Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich has prohibited jailers from using the so-called "donkey kick" after an inmate died in the Spokane County Jail. Deputies coined the term to describe a reverse kick used to push an uncooperative inmate. The kick was used in a fatal confrontation between jail deputies and Benites Sichiro, who died from injuries suffered in the scuffle Jan. 29, 2006. Read more.
