| County mulls charging for healthcare |

TAZEWELL COUNTY, IL - The idea of charging county jail inmates for room and board has been abandoned, and county officials are now setting their sights on tacking a cost onto jail healthcare. Sheriff Tom Templeton will propose a plan similar to that in Tazewell County in which inmates are charged $10 per doctor, nurse or dentist visits, $2 for over-the-counter drugs and $3 for prescription drugs.
