| Federal housing unit to be complete in May |

SAFFORD, AZ - Although officials of the Federal Correctional Insti-tution near Safford expect to get the keys for the new 38,000-square-foot housing unit in May, it could be several months before the building is ready for inmates, Warden J.E. Thomas said. Thomas talked about the new building and other prison topics during the Jan. 11 meeting of the facility's Community Relations Board. Read more.
